How to prepare for your Cake Smash Photo Session. . .
A cake smash photo session is a fun, joyful way to commemorate the milestone of your little one’s first birthday. Capture your baby’s surprise, curiosity and delight as they tear into their first taste of sugar. A cake smash is a great way to express your baby’s unique personality in a relaxed and carefree way.
What to expect?
We start with some pre-smash portraits being taken of your child, capturing their many expressions. We then introduce the cake. If your child has any allergies we recommend you bring in your own cake.
When to schedule?
You can book as far in advance as you like, this ensures you get a slot that suits you best. Most of my clients book before their baby's birthday as images from their session are used to display at their baby's birthday party and used for Thank you Cards. We also have a selection of thank you cards you can purchase from to print yourself. This can be included with the rest of your purchased digital files.
What to bring?
Please bring a change of clothes for the both of you, as the icing can quite literally get everywhere. A few of your child’s favourite toys may also be a good idea too for comforting and distracting them at the beginning of the session.
Also bring plenty of wipes for afterwards if you are not having the Cake Smash & Splash session that includes the bubble bath afterwards.
What to wear?
It’s up to you and can be as casual or dressy as you like. Most people choose to bring along a couple of outfits, usually one for the ‘pre-cake’ portraits and the other for the “Cake Smash” itself. I love bare bellies on little ones for the “cake smash”.
Feel free to dress and accessorise your child.
Please remember that their clothing will end up covered in icing so don’t dress them in something that you would be upset if it got ruined.

What Happens After my Session?
Images from your session will be given to you after full and final payment. You can share the selected images for editing.

Hi! Thank you for visiting Dreamwork Kids Photography. My name is Sandeep and I am a professional maternity | newborn | kids photographer based in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. I specialise in all sorts of children photography striving to deliver timeless, natural light portraits that you will treasure forever.
I have a relaxed and spontaneous approach with some time set aside for kids to be kids. My style has elements of fun but I also believe that a beautiful portrait of your child should portray so much more than just a smile.
All the sessions are arranged at the comfortable environment at our studio at Safdarjung Enclave. We also have an garden area near studio premises to conduct outdoor sessions.
I am aware that nowadays everyone owns a DSLR camera capable of taking good quality pictures, so why bother with a professional photographer? The answer is simple.
